An Automated Billing Program

Billing engine is Capable of processing millions of records across multiple processors even more capable on Clustered cloud computing. With credit, charges and capping methodologies, Software program are well ahead of the market, making it ready to bill just about any combination of charges which you could imagine.

This is complemented by an extremely flexible rating and pricing engine, which takes feeds from some of the worlds prominent carriers. Just like the recurring charge and credit module Utilibill’s flexible rating engine makes it possible to create almost limitless combinations of tariffing to price any usage record exactly how you need it priced.

Billing engine is fully configurable through our easy to use rate plan tool, making it simple for users to add in or modify rate plans to their exact requirements.

The Automated Billing module is used in Australia to bill and accredited employers. These cover multiple contracts from multiple departments.

  •     Apply rules to determine if activity is billable
  •     Apply rules to determine the contract
  •     Apply rules to determine Service Item Code that contracts use and whether or not user approval is required
  •     Users - with permission - can approve the activity for billing
  •     Users - with permission - can change prices for variable price items
  •     Create invoices to send to clients who are paying for the activity
  •     Create invoice files for uploading to your financial system
  •     Keeps track of payments with the processing of remittance files
  •     Create payment and credit note files for uploading to your financial system.

The goal of the module is not to remove human involved in the billing process, but rather to ensure that the rules are applied consistently and accurately. Where there is an element of judgement or where the incoming data is not considered to be sufficiently reliable, the activity can be flagged for user approval. Also, we can start to identify potentially billable items. These can be presented to the user for investigation and if necessary, the source data can be corrected allowing the activity to be billed.
